About The Position

Mechanical Engineer I supports engineering activities related to the design and development of new catalog and customer-specific products. Works under close supervision to convert requirements into technical concepts using established tools and processes, while learning internal design standards and Festo methodologies.

Requirements

1–3 years of mechanical engineering experience
Basic proficiency in CAD (CREO or similar)
Foundational knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
Strong willingness to learn and accept feedback
Proficiency with MS Office
Self-motivated and independent, able to make decisions and drive processes forward.
Suggests small improvements; learns from other
Identify small improvements to drawings, documentation, or processes.
Learn and adopt internal tools, standards, and guidelines.
Participate in problem-solving workshops as a trainee/contributor

Nice To Haves

Exposure to engineering calculations or simulation tools is beneficial

Responsibilities

Supports development of new catalogue and customer-specific products under guidance.
Assist with product care activities such as minor cost/quality improvements.
Contribute to design concepts and proposals, including feasibility evaluations using basic calculations, CAD tasks, and risk, cost, and schedule considerations.
Prepare and maintain engineering documentation such as models, drawings, parts lists, and data sheets in accordance with internal and general specifications, with review by senior staff.
Participate in prototype builds and testing according to defined instructions.
Support change management documentation and tracking.
Work in close cooperation with customers, sales teams, and the Headquarters in Germany.
Communicate with Sales and Purchasing primarily through supporting tasks or data gathering.
Participate in customer discussions with a senior engineer present.
