As a Mechanical Claims Specialist, you’ll use your in‑depth knowledge of vehicle systems to evaluate automotive warranty claims, guide customers and repair facilities through the claims process, and ensure fair, accurate outcomes. Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as an automotive mechanic or in a related mechanical field
• Strong working knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair processes
• Ability to explain mechanical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences
• Proven customer service experience, including handling challenging or escalated situations
• Strong verbal communication skills and professionalism on the phone
• Comfortable navigating multiple software systems simultaneously
• High school diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

• ASE certification
• Experience with labor guides such as AllData or Mitchell
• Familiarity with scan tools and diagnostics
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, investigate, and process mechanical warranty claims using established coverage guidelines
• Apply strong automotive knowledge to determine whether repairs are approved, denied, or require additional steps
• Communicate clearly and professionally with Dealerships requesting repair authorization, Vehicle owners with questions about claim decisions, and Other internal claim partners as needed
• Explain technical repair details in a way that non‑technical customers can easily understand
• Guide customers through next steps, including inspections, estimates, and documentation requirements
• Provide empathetic, solutions‑focused customer service in sometimes sensitive situations
• Maintain detailed and accurate electronic claim records using internal systems
• Collaborate with team members and leaders to consistently uphold high standards of fairness, accuracy, and professionalism
