Mechanic Trainee
About The Position
The Mechanic Trainee supports maintenance of aggregate plants and mobile equipment while learning industrial equipment maintenance practices. The role assists experienced mechanics with inspections, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs involving mechanical, hydraulic, and conveyor systems. It also involves maintaining tools and work areas and following safety procedures during hands-on technical training. The position operates primarily in environments with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise levels. Employment is conditional on successfully completing a post-offer physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require ongoing FMCSA-regulated drug and alcohol testing.
Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in industrial equipment maintenance.
- Ability to learn troubleshooting and repair techniques in a hands-on environment.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and following established procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Successfully complete a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.

Responsibilities
