About The Position

The Mechanic Trainee supports mechanical maintenance and repair of plant equipment while learning repair techniques and maintenance best practices from senior mechanics. The role includes routine inspections, basic troubleshooting, and assisting with repairs using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. The trainee must follow safety procedures and keep the work area clean and organized.

The position operates primarily in environments with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise levels. Physical tasks include lifting and bending, and work may take place in varied conditions. Employment is contingent on successfully completing a post-offer physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check, and the employee must comply with company policies and procedures.

• Mechanical aptitude and interest in developing maintenance skills.
