Mechanic I - 2nd Shift

About The Position

PADNOS is a full-service recycling company handling paper, plastic, metals, and electronic recycling for consumer and industrial clients throughout the United States. The Mechanic performs inspections and preventative maintenance on semi-tractors, trailers, heavy equipment, and machinery, including brakes, suspensions, electrical and lighting systems, and other mechanical components. The role also repairs hydraulic, electrical, and other mechanical components; diagnoses problems to identify repair needs; and completes required paperwork. This is a second-shift position.

Requirements

One or more years of related diesel mechanic experience or related military training.
Mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
Related experience and knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and techniques used to repair semi-tractors and trailers.
Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Attention to accuracy and detail.
Demonstrated safety consciousness.
Relevant military experience.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of welding and torching is helpful but not required.
