About The Position

Responsible for wrapping and labeling meat products using a wrapping machine, stocking display cases, operating meat-processing equipment, and providing a high level of member service. The role also involves inspecting and reassembling equipment sanitized the previous night; rotating and reworking product; replenishing supplies; following production, quality, safety, and security procedures; and maintaining sanitation and health-code standards. Duties include routine equipment maintenance, proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials, and assisting with other department and warehouse duties as needed. Open availability is needed to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

Inspect and reassemble equipment sanitized the previous night.
Rework display cases and rotate product.
Restock meat room supplies and handle boxes of meat weighing up to 70 lbs. and, in another listed duty, up to 99 lbs.
Stock meat display cases and follow department production procedures and standards for quality and consistency.
Move trays of packaged meat from wheeled racks and place individual packages into automatic wrapping machines.
Follow safety and security procedures.
Set the label machine according to product type and price, print labels, and apply them to products.
Place wrapped and labeled meat on trays and carts, then stock it in display cases.
Operate a meat grinder, load meat into it, and check the fat content of each batch.
Operate a tenderizing machine and follow department production procedures and quality standards.
Clean and sanitize the work area throughout the day, including windows, and comply with health-code sanitation and temperature requirements.
Clean and sanitize the meat room at the end of the day, including disassembling equipment and power washing the room.
Wash, apply cleaning agents, wipe, and mop surfaces and equipment; empty the drain screen.
Operate a commercial dishwasher or power sink, or wash items by hand in three-compartment sinks.
Perform routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, and implements.
Provide prompt and courteous member service.
Ensure proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials.
Operate vehicles, equipment, or machinery.
Assist with department duties and other warehouse departments as necessary.
