About The Position

At Rosauers Supermarkets, the meat department combines customer service with a selection of meat products. The Meat Service Clerk welcomes customers, provides recommendations and personalized assistance with meat selections, and helps customers with questions about preparation methods. The role also involves receiving, verifying, unloading, and safely storing meat deliveries; stocking and rotating products; maintaining displays and customer-facing areas; cleaning work areas; and following food safety and sanitation procedures. The employee collaborates with others and performs other duties that support the company's success.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must complete a pre-employment background check.
Customer service skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Welcome and greet customers when they enter or leave the store.
Answer customer questions, help locate items, and provide recommendations.
Help customers choose suitable cuts of meat and answer questions about preparation methods.
Receive and unload meat deliveries, verify supplier deliveries, and store products safely.
Stock shelves and cases, rotate stock to ensure freshness, and clean spills or debris.
Update displays, cases, and other customer-facing areas to showcase new items and promotions.
Clean work surfaces, equipment, and floors, prepare work areas for customer service, and remove trash.
Follow company and regulatory food safety and sanitation procedures.
Cooperate with others to support customer satisfaction.
Perform other duties that contribute to the overall success of the company.
