About The Position

As a Meat & Seafood Clerk, you prepare, package, and display meat and seafood products while meeting quality and food safety standards. You maintain a clean, organized department, assist with inventory and restocking, and provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service, including helping customers select products and offering cooking tips. The role is suited to someone comfortable in a fast-paced environment and working with fresh proteins.

Requirements

• Prior experience in meat or seafood preparation, grocery, or food service is preferred.
• Understanding of meat and seafood types, freshness indicators, and safe handling practices.
• Ability to assist customers with product selection and provide helpful cooking or preparation tips.
• Familiarity with sanitation standards and procedures for handling raw products.
• Ability to maintain clean displays, monitor product quality, and follow packaging guidelines.
• Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs. and working in refrigerated environments.
• Willingness to support fellow associates and contribute to a positive store culture.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy.
