About The Position
The Meat Production “Cutter” works in various areas of the meat production room, including the packaging department and meat trimming table. This position supports efficient, high-volume, high-quality production by meeting yield and quality standards while maintaining accuracy, flexibility, and safety on the Production Floor. The role involves hands-on manufacturing and packaging to meet daily and monthly production needs, including stock, JIT, and special orders.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily and monthly production needs through hands-on manufacturing of stock, JIT, and special-order items, as well as packaging.
- Understand and meet production yield and quality standards, and follow department policies and procedures.
- Model behavior consistent with the department’s core values and help maintain an environment conducive to the production team’s success.
- Perform department and product-handling duties in accordance with production team policies, procedures, and standards.
- Contribute to a positive environment and embrace beneficial changes to departmental policy.
- Assist with other special assignments as assigned.
- Perform duties in a timely and courteous manner, respect company personnel and property, and promptly report concerns.
