About The Position

The Meat Packer packs meat in boxes, seals and labels cases, and stacks finished product on pallets according to work orders and customer preferences. The role also involves assembling boxes, cleaning the packaging area and equipment, meeting GMP and quality standards, and maintaining the efficient flow of product through production. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, with Fridays and Saturdays off. Work begins at 7:00 AM and continues until the job is complete. The position is located at 407 Westcliff Rd, Greensboro, NC 27409, and pays $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to regularly lift, stack, and/or pull products weighing 10–35 pounds and lift up to approximately 60–100 pounds, depending on location.

Responsibilities

Review the work schedule, perform safety checks on equipment, obtain necessary supplies, and prepare for operations.
Check the cutting list and retrieve packaging materials—including boxes, labels, tape, bags, and wrap—from storage using a pallet jack.
Assemble boxes and cases, make labels, and supply the Cryovac sealer with the required wrap.
Load finished meat cuts from tubs into the Cryovac sealer, operate its doors as needed, and place sealed meat on the work table.
Pack meat into cases, label and seal cases using a tape gun or strapping machine, and stack finished cases on pallets.
Clean the packaging work area and equipment, perform general housekeeping, and follow applicable safety and quality standards.
Secure equipment and complete necessary paperwork at the end of the shift.
