About The Position

The Meat Deli Clerk is responsible for ensuring the proper care, processing, freshness, and merchandising of meat and deli items in compliance with all guidelines and policies. This role involves instructing and coaching team members, maintaining accurate product information, and effectively merchandising promotional items.

Requirements

Minimum age: 18 Years
Ability to grasp, push, pull, carry, stoop, twist, crouch, and reach.
Ability to perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and eye, hand and foot coordination.
Ability to hear and respond to customer inquiries.
Ability to stand, walk and bend throughout the entire workday.
Ability to maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 30 pounds from location to location.

Responsibilities

Instructs and coaches department team members on proper methods of product care and processing of fresh and processed meat products.
Maintains proper freshness and code dating of all meat-deli items in compliance with governmental guidelines and company policies and procedures.
Ensures proper receiving methods are used and product is refrigerated immediately upon arrival.
Ensures proper department pricing, stocking, rotating and merchandising meet company policies, procedures and objectives.
Merchandises ad items effectively.
