About The Position

As a Meat Clerk at Broulim’s, you will assist customers, maintain product displays, and keep the meat counter clean and organized. You will help provide excellent customer service and offer high-quality meat products to customers. The role involves handling meat products and department equipment, following food safety and sanitation practices, and contributing to department goals in a fast-paced work environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of basic meat cuts and preparation techniques.
Ability to handle meat department equipment safely.
Customer-focused with a positive and friendly attitude.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and stand for extended periods while lifting moderate loads.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a grocery store or customer service role is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Assist customers in selecting, weighing, and packaging meat products.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the meat department, including regular sanitization of surfaces and equipment.
Receive, inspect, and stock incoming meat products in the department and deli wall, rotating inventory to ensure freshness.
Answer customer inquiries and provide information about various meat cuts and products.
Operate and maintain meat department equipment, such as scales and slicers.
Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and contribute to a positive working environment.
