About The Position

As a Meat Clerk at Broulim’s, you’ll be an essential part of the meat department, assisting customers, maintaining product displays, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the meat counter. The role involves providing excellent customer service and offering high-quality meat products to customers. Previous experience in a grocery store or customer service role is advantageous.

Requirements

Knowledge of basic meat cuts and preparation techniques.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
Basic understanding of meat department equipment and tools.
Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a positive and friendly attitude.
Ability to operate meat department equipment safely.
Basic organizational skills for stocking and arranging products.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and lift moderate loads.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Ability to listen to and follow through with assigned tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a grocery store or customer service role is advantageous.
Familiarity with various meat cuts and preparation techniques, and willingness to learn which cuts are best for certain dishes.

Responsibilities

Assist customers in selecting, weighing, and packaging meat products.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the meat department, including regularly sanitizing surfaces and equipment.
Receive, inspect, and stock incoming meat products in the department and deli wall, rotating inventory to ensure freshness.
Answer customer inquiries and provide information about meat cuts and products.
Operate and maintain meat department equipment, such as scales and slicers.
Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and contribute to a positive working environment.
