About The Position
Nugget Markets is seeking a personable, outgoing teammate who enjoys multitasking and engaging with diverse guests while sharing knowledge of meat and seafood. The role focuses on sharing product knowledge, promoting department items, and providing world-class service. Meat clerks also create seafood and meat displays, prepare house-made sausages, stock and rotate products, support inventory control and shrink reduction, and maintain a clean, sanitary, and attractive work environment. The position requires travel to the Davis, Sacramento - Florin Rd, Elk Grove, and Roseville locations. Individual hourly rates depend on factors including experience, location, and length of employment.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- Knowledge of all power tools within the department.
- Basic knife skills.
- Basic understanding of English, including the ability to communicate and read basic instructions, schedules, and signage.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Basic math skills for quantity measurement, proportions, volume ratios, and weight conversions.
- Ability to learn and retain product knowledge.
- A positive attitude.
