About The Position
Nugget Markets is hiring a personable, outgoing, and collaborative Meat Clerk who enjoys engaging with diverse guests, sharing knowledge of meat and seafood, and multitasking. This is a full-time position requiring availability for any shift and the ability to help at locations in Novato, Corte Madera, and Tiburon. Hourly rates are based on factors including experience, location, and length of employment; the listed range is $20–$22.50 per hour. The Meat Clerk shares product knowledge, promotes department items, and provides excellent guest service. The role also involves creating seafood and meat displays, preparing house-made sausages, stocking and rotating products, supporting inventory control and shrink reduction, and maintaining a clean, sanitary, and attractive work environment.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Know how to use all power tools within the department.
- Have basic knife skills.
- Have a basic understanding of English, including the ability to communicate and read basic instructions, schedules, and signage.
- Be able to multitask and prioritize.
- Possess basic math skills for quantity measurement, proportions, volume ratios, and weight conversions.
- Be able to learn and retain product knowledge.
- Have a positive attitude.
- Be available for any shift and able to help at locations in Novato, Corte Madera, and Tiburon.
