About The Position
Nugget Markets is seeking dedicated bakers with practical baking experience to join their talented and passionate bakery team. This is a full-time position suitable for individuals experienced in fast-paced, early morning environments, with shifts starting as early as 3:00 am. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must possess basic math skills.
- Must have intermediate product knowledge including knowledge of temperature, chemical reactions, and bakery products.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs.
- Basic understanding of the English language, including the ability to communicate and read basic instructions, schedules, and signage.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- A positive attitude is essential.
Responsibilities
- Baking, merchandising, and packaging goods such as bagels, croissants, cookies, and other pastries.
- Loading carts and racks with product.
- Lifting and stacking flour.
- Operating all kitchen machinery including ovens, proofers, and mixers.
- Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and attractive work environment.
- Assisting bakery clerks.
- Providing world-class service to guests.
- Traveling to Nugget Market locations: Woodland, Davis - Mace, West Sacramento, Vacaville.
