About The Position
Nugget Markets is hiring personable and enthusiastic food lovers to work as deli clerks. The role focuses on sharing product knowledge, promoting deli items, and providing world-class service to diverse guests. Clerks prepare sandwiches according to posted menus and guest requests, slice meats and cheeses, prepare rotisserie chickens, and maintain a clean, sanitary, and attractive work environment. Candidates must be available to work any shift at the stores in Novato, Corte Madera, and Tiburon. Individual hourly rates depend on factors including experience, location, and length of employment.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have proficient knowledge and use of commercial kitchen equipment.
- Must have basic to proficient knife skills.
- Previous food service experience is helpful but not required.
- Must have a basic understanding of English, including the ability to communicate and read basic instructions, schedules, and signage.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to learn and retain product knowledge.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude is essential.
- Must be available to work any shift in stores in Novato, Corte Madera, and Tiburon.
