About The Position

The Measure Technician (In-Home Advisor) works independently in a traveling field role supporting The Home Depot's Field Services Organization. The role provides professional customer service that meets or exceeds company standards and customer expectations. The technician performs in-home measurement appointments, builds and maintains customer relationships, supports sales and product inquiries, takes measurements, and coordinates installations within the Measurement Services center Field Services Organization. The position focuses on a positive customer experience through accurate measurements, calculations, quote review, and presentation. The technician primarily travels to appointments within a predefined geographic area and may also support company locations. Work is completed using company-issued devices, with a focus on customer service, measurement accuracy and timeliness, and sales productivity. This is a part-time, field-based role supporting customers in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and surrounding areas.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Reliable transportation.
• At least 1 year of previous related work experience.
• Knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily routes for preassigned measurement appointments as efficiently and accurately as possible.
• Cooperate with associates, supervisors, and managers to complete other assigned work activities.
• Follow all policies and procedures and adhere to the work schedule.
• Ask customers open-ended questions and listen to their responses about projects and product needs.
• Describe merchandise features and benefits and explain the steps involved in completing projects.
• Demonstrate product and services knowledge when answering customer questions.
• Identify opportunities to engage customers in other services programs.
