About The Position

Renewal by Andersen is seeking a Field Measure Technician for its Wilmington, North Carolina location. The technician provides field support for Renewal by Andersen products by performing service work or technical measurements before installation. The role involves measuring and documenting job conditions, determining installation processes and solutions, confirming quoted contract details with customers, and providing a professional, customer-focused experience in the home.

Requirements

• High school degree.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Knowledge of basic construction techniques, construction and building materials, and construction industry terminology.
• Mechanical aptitude, including the ability to dismantle and reassemble windows, window coverings, and hardware.
• Ability to handle confrontation and conflict tactfully and diplomatically, and maintain perspective under demanding conditions.
• Interpersonal communication skills, including strong listening and empathy skills.
• Organization skills for managing work schedules, job priorities, and stock levels.
• Diagnostic skills in assessment, problem solving, and decision making.
• Ability to work independently and willingness to work variable schedules.
• Basic math skills, legible writing, and basic personal computer skills in Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of window installation experience.

Responsibilities

• Accurately measure dimensions and determine installation processes for windows and doors.
• Provide cost-effective installation solutions that meet customer expectations and adapt product specifications to installation requirements using knowledge of Renewal products.
• Confirm quoted sales contract details to ensure customer expectations align with the product and installation process.
• Provide accurate measurements and document job-related circumstances in a timely manner.
• Complete and submit required paperwork that is neat, accurate, thorough, and timely.
• Maintain a professional image through clothing, vehicle, and personal conduct in customers’ homes, and provide a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Service or repair previously installed windows, or perform technical measures needed for installation.
