About The Position

The Measure Technician (In-Home Advisor) works independently in a traveling field role supporting The Home Depot's Field Services Organization. The role provides professional customer service that meets or exceeds company standards and customer expectations. The technician conducts in-home measure appointments, builds and maintains customer relationships, supports sales and product inquiries, takes measurements, and coordinates installations. Responsibilities include providing a positive customer experience through accurate measurements and calculations, reviewing and presenting quotes, and meeting goals for customer service, measurement accuracy and timeliness, and sales productivity. The technician primarily travels to appointments within a predefined geographical area and may also support company locations. Work is completed using company-issued devices. This is a part-time, field-based role supporting customers in Las Vegas, Nevada, and surrounding areas.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Reliable transportation.
• At least 1 year of previous related work experience.
• Knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily routes for pre-assigned measure appointments as efficiently and accurately as possible.
• Ask customers open-ended questions and listen to their responses about projects and product needs.
• Describe merchandise features and benefits, as well as the steps involved in completing projects.
• Demonstrate product and service knowledge when answering customer questions.
• Identify opportunities to engage customers in other services programs.
• Cooperate with associates, supervisors, and managers to complete other assigned work activities.
• Follow all policies and procedures and adhere to the work schedule.
• Travel between locations as required.
