About The Position

Renewal by Andersen is seeking a Field Measure Technician for its Wilmington, North Carolina location. The technician provides field support for Renewal by Andersen products by performing service work or technical measurements before installation. The role involves measuring windows and doors, determining installation processes, recommending installation solutions, and ensuring quoted product and installation details align with customer expectations. It also requires accurate job documentation and professional, customer-focused conduct in customers’ homes.

Requirements

High school degree.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Basic construction techniques and knowledge of construction and building materials.
Knowledge of construction industry terminology.
Ability to service and repair previously installed windows or perform technical measures needed for installation.
Mechanical aptitude, including the ability to dismantle and reassemble windows, window coverings, and hardware.
Ability to handle confrontation and conflicts tactfully and diplomatically, and maintain perspective under demanding conditions.
Interpersonal communication, listening, and empathy skills.
Organizational skills for managing work schedules, job priorities, and stock levels.
Diagnostic, assessment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently and willingness to work variable schedules.
Basic math skills, legible writing, and basic personal computer skills in Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of window installation experience.

Responsibilities

Accurately measure dimensions and determine installation processes for windows and doors.
Provide cost-effective installation solutions that meet customer expectations and adapt product specifications to installation requirements using knowledge of Renewal products.
Confirm details in the quoted sales contract to ensure customer expectations align with the product and installation process.
Provide accurate measurements and document job-related circumstances in a timely manner.
Complete and submit required paperwork neatly, accurately, thoroughly, and on time.
Maintain a professional image through clothing, vehicle, and conduct in customers’ homes.
Provide a high level of customer satisfaction.
Service or repair previously installed windows, or perform technical measures needed for installation.
