About The Position

Gainesville Health & Rehab Center is seeking an experienced MDS Coordinator RN to join its interdisciplinary team and MDS Department. The position provides leadership for MDS, clinical reimbursement, care planning, and utilization management processes in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements, regulations, and company policies. The coordinator ensures MDS/RAI deadlines and accuracy requirements are met and that coding appropriately reflects each patient’s acuity and needs for accurate reimbursement. The role also supports center leadership with quality improvement, staff education, and regulatory compliance related to the RAI process, quality of care, reimbursement, quality measures, and quality reporting. The coordinator is expected to promote a positive, collaborative, and caring team environment.

Requirements

Current RN license in good standing in Virginia.
Significant MDS 3.0 experience.
RAC-CT certification is required within one year of employment if not certified at hire, and must be maintained as current once obtained.
Strong computer skills.
Ability to work independently and well under pressure.
Flexibility, attention to detail, organization, and ability to multitask.
Ability to make effective decisions and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities
