MCO Lead Cashier
About The Position
The Lead Cashier is accountable for cash and electronic transactions and oversees cashiers to ensure work is completed appropriately. The role supports accurate transaction reporting, trains new associates on Point of Sale (POS) systems, and helps provide customer service and information to patrons. The Lead Cashier also prepares for the next shift by performing money audits, checking supplies, and verifying that cashiers have the paperwork needed to complete their duties. The position is responsible for supporting quality service, customer satisfaction, clean facility areas, and a safe work environment.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- One year of experience required.
Responsibilities
- Oversee cashiers to ensure work is completed appropriately.
- Accept accountability for cash transactions.
- Ensure all transactions are accounted for correctly.
- Train new associates on Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Count down the cash drawer with the previous shift lead present to ensure accurate counts and reporting.
- Check in with cashiers at least once an hour regarding drops and change needs.
- Provide customer service and information to patrons.
- Prepare for the next shift, including money audits, supply checks, and verifying that cashiers have the paperwork needed to complete their duties.
- Ensure quality service, customer satisfaction, clean facility areas, and a safe work environment.
