About The Position

Mathnasium is a math-only learning center that provides personalized tutoring to K–12 students. Math Tutors teach small groups of up to four students using the Socratic method and prepared lessons, with no lesson planning required. The role includes paid training and flexible weekday afternoon shifts of three to four hours, with a path to Lead Instructor or full-time work.

Requirements

• Strong math skills through Algebra I.
• Enjoy working with children.
• Pass a background check.
• Be available at least two weekday afternoons.

Nice To Haves

• Geometry-level math skills or higher.
• Prior experience is not required; training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Teach math from Kindergarten through Pre-Calculus, as well as SAT and ACT content.
• Make math engaging using real-world examples.
• Track student progress.
• Team-teach with the Center Director.
