Math Tutor - Paid Training and Flexible PM Shifts
About The Position
Mathnasium is a math-only learning center with more than 1,000 locations that provides personalized tutoring to K–12 students. Math Tutors help students catch up, keep up, and get ahead through ready-made lessons and the Socratic method. Tutors teach groups of up to four students, covering topics from Kindergarten through Pre-Calculus, as well as SAT/ACT preparation. They motivate students with real-world examples, track progress, and team-teach with the Center Director. No lesson planning or prior tutoring experience is required; paid training is provided. The role offers flexible afternoon shifts of three to four hours on at least two weekdays, with a potential path to Lead Instructor or full-time work.
Requirements
- Strong math skills through Algebra I.
- Enjoy working with children.
- Pass a background check.
- Be available at least two weekday afternoons.
Nice To Haves
- Geometry or higher-level math knowledge is preferred.
