Part-Time Math Tutor - Sunnyvale
About The Position
Think Zone Learning Center is hiring a part-time Math Tutor to provide personalized math instruction to K–8 students at its Sunnyvale learning center. Tutors help students build strong math foundations, confidence, and problem-solving skills in a supportive, engaging environment. The center provides the curriculum, materials, and training; tutors do not need to plan lessons. The role is designed to fit around school schedules and offers 6–12 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours. Tutors typically work 2–4 shifts per week, and Saturday availability is strongly preferred. The program runs from June 2, 2026 through December 31, 2026. The position pays $19.00–$20.00 per hour and may offer opportunities to grow into leadership roles.
Requirements
- Enjoy helping others learn and working with children.
- Have a strong foundation in math.
- Communicate clearly and patiently.
- Be responsible and dependable.
- Be able to encourage and motivate younger students.
- Be currently in high school and at least 16 years old, currently in college, or have a high school diploma.
Nice To Haves
- Teaching or tutoring experience.
- Saturday availability is strongly preferred.
