About The Position

AoPS Academy is hiring a part-time Math Instructor to teach advanced students in small, in-person classes at its Mountain View campus. Instructors use company-created curriculum and materials, actively engage students in class and student-led learning, manage classrooms of up to 16 students, grade tests and provide feedback, and build relationships with students and families. The role aims to inspire students’ love of learning and critical thinking in math. AoPS Academy is a year-round educational enrichment program and part of Art of Problem Solving, a global leader in K–12 advanced education. Its curriculum covers math, science, and language arts for students in grades 1–12, with small classes led by accomplished instructors. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree.
Strong content knowledge in math.
Experience teaching or tutoring students.
Availability for weekday after-school hours, as early as 4 p.m., and/or weekends.
Ability to commute to the Mountain View campus; candidates must be located in Mountain View, California, or the greater area.
Legal authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship, including STEM-OPT and H-1B, is unavailable.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related or educational field.
Classroom teaching experience at the K–12 level.
