About The Position

Mathnasium of Mathnasium (ID: 2903501) is seeking a Math Instructor / Tutor to teach K–12 students in-center and/or online. Instructors use the Mathnasium Method™, its terminology, teaching practices, curriculum, and instructional tools to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting. They assess student learning progress and engagement and become proficient with digital educational materials and processes.

The center describes the role as an opportunity to make a difference in students’ lives within a fun, supportive, and encouraging work culture. It offers consistent part-time hours after school and on weekends, training in effective teaching methodologies, and opportunities for advancement. Mathnasium centers are independently owned and operated by franchisees, which are responsible for employment matters; the franchisee is the employer for anyone hired at a center.

Requirements

• Passion for math and working with students.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Eagerness to learn and be trained.
• Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I.
• Take a math literacy test during the hiring process to demonstrate math proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Teach students in-center and/or online using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting.
• Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions.
• Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes.
