Math/Science Tutor
About The Position
Huntington Learning Center is seeking caring, knowledgeable professionals to tutor students in grades 6–12 in Math and/or Science. Tutors work directly with students to help them master challenging concepts, strengthen study skills, prepare for the ACT/SAT, and become more confident learners. The center provides the curriculum and individualized programs. Instruction is delivered one-to-one or in small groups of up to four students and may cover Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics, Calculus, Chemistry, Physics, and Life Sciences. The role includes paid training and ongoing professional development in a collaborative, center-based environment. Hours are flexible within the stated schedule: Monday–Thursday, 12:00–8:30 p.m., and Saturday, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Strong expertise in Math and/or Science.
- Caring, dependable, and committed to helping students succeed.
Responsibilities
- Tutor students in grades 6–12 in Math and/or Science, one-to-one or in groups of up to four.
- Help students master challenging concepts and build stronger study skills.
- Support classroom skills, homework, and subject mastery.
- Prepare students for the ACT/SAT.
