This position is for the 2nd shift, Monday - Friday, 1:30 PM - 10:30 PM.

Requirements

Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and background check.
Negative drug/alcohol test result is required for employment.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a warehouse or materials supervision role.
Familiarity with inventory control systems.
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a warehouse environment.
Experience with preventative maintenance programs for warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

Supervising incoming materials and parts, and the material handling staff.
Maintaining orderly arrangement of product to facilitate receiving, stocking, shipping, and pickup of merchandise.
Maintaining physical and system controls to safeguard inventory and assets.
Planning manpower to assure coverage for absences or special needs.
Arranging for timely receipt of product and coordination with inventory control to update availability.
Preparing receiving and shipping documentation (e.g., bills of lading, receiving reports, etc.) as necessary to document product flow.
Ensuring the consistent use of safety devices and personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining constant alert for hazardous conditions and practices.
Participating in and facilitating 6S activities in responsible areas; driving safety ideas and improvements.
Coordinating programs related to employee communications, placement, training and development, orientation, quality, etc.
Promoting positive employee relations through daily, open, and direct communications.
Ensuring conformance with Company policies, practices and work rules related to attendance, performance, etc.
Operating within budget parameters and identifying opportunities for savings.
Providing and/or coordinating a preventative maintenance program for forklifts, dock doors, dock plates and other equipment and components of the facility.
Performing various other duties as required.
