This is an entry level Materials Engineer 1 role. This role is onsite, in Rockford, IL. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or related Science, Technology,Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
- Experience in technical evaluations, communication, and reporting.
- Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Aerospace materials and processes.
Responsibilities
- Participate on multidisciplinary engineering teams as the chemical/materials engineer for quality investigations.
- Apply principles of chemistry, physics, and material behavior to validate hardware and/or process conforms to related specification requirements.
- Interpret specification requirements and communicate with Collins Operations sites and suppliers as required.
- Work on short term project management and collaboration with Collins engineering teams to solve materials and process challenges.
