About The Position

This is an entry-level Electrical Engineer 1 role located in Melbourne, FL. The position involves participating in the research, development, design, and testing of electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Responsibilities include resolving day-to-day technical problems by troubleshooting electrical device issues on the production line, completing drawing designs, operating engineering software and equipment, and conferring with stakeholders on engineering projects. The role also entails performing engineering work and applied research, development, and design for new products to ensure quality standards and functional objectives are met. The engineer will gain knowledge in designing electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for various purposes, as well as analyzing and evaluating new or improved electronic components, including power generation, transmission and distribution, rotating machinery, illumination, and wire and wireless communication systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using test equipment such as Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Power Meters.
  • Experience using MatLab, C, C+, Excel, JavaScript.
  • Experience using eCAD Tools and Electronic design and simulation tools.
  • Proficient knowledge using Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in researching, developing, designing, and testing electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.
