About The Position

The Materials Coordinator facilitates the distribution of supplies and equipment throughout the hospital campuses to various departments. This role involves fulfilling department requisitions and delivering items in a timely manner, as well as inventory and restocking of assigned clinical departments. Other job tasks may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write and understand the English language.
  • Excellent public relations skills and ability to communicate with others.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Storeroom experience in a hospital setting or in a similar field.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a stock level inventory for assigned nursing departments, consistent with established policy.
  • Ensures the storeroom and supply rooms are neat and orderly.
  • Fulfills and delivers requisitioned supplies to various departments.
  • Delivers received goods from the day to various departments.
  • Obtains signatures of receipt on Delivery Tickets.
  • Ensures carts or dollies are not overloaded or carelessly loaded during transportation.
  • Assists in maintaining inventory control, making corrections when discrepancies arise.
