About The Position

The Materials Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of inventory for products, materials, and raw ingredients, making sure that physical inventory matches system inventory. This role is crucial in identifying and reviewing inventory discrepancies and works closely with the Purchasing Manager to monitor high-value items and fast-moving materials. The coordinator will notify the Purchasing Manager and Warehouse Manager of any discrepancies and collaborate with the Production Department to ensure proper consumption of raw materials in Work Orders, adhering to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles. A key part of the role involves investigating and determining the root cause of inventory issues.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
2 years’ relevant shipping and receiving work experience required.
1-2 years’ experience using the company’s ERP system and/ or choice of software.
Proficient communications skills both verbal and written.

Proficient analytical skills.

Excellent people skills and be able to work in a group.

Must know how to drive heavy equipment such as Forklift, Electric Lift, Scissor Lift, and Pallet Jack.
Able to operate a Mobile Scanner Device (RF gun) for inventory tracking and control.

Nice To Haves

1-2 years' inventory experience preferred.
1-2 years’ experience operating Forklift / Industrial Equipment.
Fluent in English preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform tasks according to Safety and Food Safety Standards.
Participate in safety training programs and contribute to safety initiatives.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (SQF, GMP, HACCP, OSHA) and company policies.
Accurately report production totals in the system and transfer finished product.
Print and apply pallet tags to all manufactured product.
Verify and report accuracy of TGI and inventory control reports (LITS).
Complete and submit daily raw product and finished product inventories.
Supply the production department with raw and packaging materials.
Log raw materials into the LITS.
Return leftover materials to the designated place in the warehouse.
Report RF gun and label printer issues to the IT Department.
Maintain raw and finished product organized and inventory ready, ensuring FIFO.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or Team Lead.
Ensure warehouse storage racks and pallet areas are kept clean and organized, including coolers and freezers.
Remove cobwebs and chipping paint from walls and ceilings.
Actively demonstrate an attitude of willing service and teamwork.
Follow and comply with all SQF requirements.
Maintain workstations per SQF guidelines.
Ensure Corn Return Area and Flour Return Area are maintained clear of ingredients both physically and in the system.
Remove broken pallets from the Production area.
Verify incoming materials meet Internal Specifications (weight, thickness, color).
Perform Daily Cycle Counts of raw materials (1-3 different items daily).
Other duties as assigned.
