About The Position

Our Kingsville Distribution Center, a 400,000 sq. ft. refrigerated facility operating 24/7, is currently seeking a Materials Coordinator to join our team. The essential function of this position is to assist the Materials Supervisor regarding daily material requirements. The individual is responsible for a wide variety of duties including but not limited to this job description. Monday to Friday 8:am-5pm, Saturday 8am-12pm  Wage: $19.20/hr This opening is for a current vaccancy Full Time Permanent

Requirements

  • High School Graduate, Post- Secondary education preferred.
  • Shipping, receiving and inventory experience an asset.
  • Be respectful and deal tactfully with customers, other employees and vendors.
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency with MS Office: Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Must have ability to effectively follow-up and handle multiple projects with strong personal time management.
  • Proficiency in use of English language with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
  • Willingness to work independently, with minimal supervision and take ownership of job.
  • Willingness to work with a high degree of professionalism and personal integrity.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills. Need to be creative, adaptable and able to accurately work with a sense of urgency.
  • Maintain all company information confidential and protect proprietary information.

Responsibilities

  • Keep stock organized and readily accessible.
  • Reconcile discrepancies in inventories and notify supervisor of irregularities.
  • Perform physical counts of inventory, including weekly top-seal inventory.
  • Operate vertical conveyor.
  • Move inventory to various locations manually by operating pallet jack, hand cart and fork
  • Load and off load trailers and delivery truck.
  • Fill and ship orders, ensuring accuracy of shipments and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure that boxes are stored on trailers or sent upstairs.
  • Monitor packaging on the floor with the goal of keeping the warehouse floor clear.
  • Pull and verify all materials required for packing samples (clam, boxes and bags, etc.)
