About The Position

ASCO Equipment is hiring a full-time, on-site Material Handling Sales Representative for its North Houston, Texas market. The role focuses on building customer relationships, understanding equipment needs, and offering additional services. The representative proactively increases revenue through exceptional customer service, seeks new markets, and develops opportunities to increase profitability in line with ASCO’s growth plan. The position requires an ambitious self-starter who can provide solutions in demanding circumstances.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Proven sales ability and excellent customer relationship skills.
• Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups.
• Strong planning, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Solid computer skills and knowledge of general business software and the G Suite platform.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Establish new business opportunities through sales calls within the territory.
• Manage pre-planning, post-call notes, and follow-up actions using a CRM tool.
• Educate customers about material handling equipment through product presentations and demonstrations.
• Resolve problems and follow through to address customer needs.
• Generate objective-based proposals for material handling solutions.
• Follow all safety rules and complete required safety training.
• Represent ASCO positively and professionally at all times.
