About The Position

The Material Handler coordinates the inbound, storage and outbound movement of raw materials, components and finished goods. The Material Handler will define production schedules to optimize inventory levels and customer delivery along with ensuring that inventories are secure, properly identified and easily accessible to the authorized personnel.

Requirements

High school diploma with at least 1 year of production or related experience.
Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently.
Ability to lift objects weighing between 25-50 pounds frequently.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Good verbal communication skills.
Must have effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills to quickly resolve issues.
Effective team management skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare boxes for packing and shipping, stack full boxes on a skid, and operate box sealers proficiently.
Identify different product cartons, product numbers, date code boxes, and detect any issues with products in boxes.
Report abnormalities to the lead packer or supervisor and learn identification for packing.
Proper making of skids and crates.
Recognize and identify materials and how to package them appropriately.
Operate hydraulic jack lift or powered industrial equipment to move finished goods and other materials.
Plastic wraps and or band cartons to pallet and crate.
Mark packages with product identification, order number, address, or other identifying data on visible portion of bundle or shipping ticket.
Count boxes on skids to assure that the quantity is correct according to the product number before it is wrapped.
Perform basic math with two-digit numbers and use American weight, volume, and distance units.
Regular and punctual attendance; consistently adhere to the assigned work schedule.
Comply with all GMP requirements and adhere to all CFS safety policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
