About The Position

The Material Handler supports a designated division or department by handling, organizing, and maintaining records for required materials. The role includes inventory control, keeping accurate equipment and supply records, and stocking and restocking materials throughout a designated shop area. The position works in a manufacturing environment and follows safety, manufacturing, and quality procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to walk, stand, and remain physically active for extended periods.
• Ability to learn computer systems, databases, and various software programs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Fluency in English and ability to communicate with coworkers.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain an organized work area.
• Self-motivation and a proactive approach.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, and weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift experience.
• Previous experience in an industrial or warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

• Receive, stock, and maintain records of new and existing materials.
• Communicate with staff and management to identify material needs.
• Supply workstations with the appropriate hardware and materials.
• Track materials using a scanner or designated computer program.
• Use a forklift as needed to transport, load, and unload materials.
• Learn and follow safety policies and practices.
• Learn and follow manufacturing policies and practices to support consistent production.
• Follow standard work and process instructions and identify potential product-quality risks.
