About The Position

At Crew2, associates are supported through diversity, teamwork, opportunities for growth, and treatment with dignity and respect. The Warehouse Material Handler prepares carpet and pad for residential installation by measuring and cutting materials for subcontractor pickup the next day. The role also unloads weekly pad truck deliveries, keeps the warehouse clean and organized, assists with inventory and order paperwork, and may occasionally transport materials or support another warehouse. Pad weights range from 43 to 86 pounds, and lift support is available in higher-volume warehouses.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift 40–86 pounds with assistance.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative, team-player approach.
• Demonstrates an understanding of good customer service.
• Reasonably organized and willing and able to follow established processes.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Employment is contingent on passing a background check and drug screen; a Motor Vehicle Report may be required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately measure and cut carpet and pad based on customer orders, then prepare and stage materials for installer pickup the following morning.
• Unload pad trucks and other deliveries, and store products according to established systems and processes.
• Keep the warehouse and surrounding area clean and organized.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely, and complete company-sponsored forklift certification training.
• Organize information as directed for inventory control.
• Follow safety protocols, including incident response processes.
• Manage the used carpet and pad drop-off area, keeping it neat and clean.
• Handle order paperwork and, on occasion, transport materials or provide support to another warehouse.
