About The Position

This position is responsible for completing work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources. It involves collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners to identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations. The role requires carrying out tasks, communicating progress and information, and determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities. Adaptability to change, difficulties, and feedback is essential. The Material Handler manages freight flow by moving and loading freight manually and with powered equipment, such as single and double pallet jacks. This includes identifying, counting, separating, combining, and scanning freight, utilizing warehouse management system terminals, scales, and scanners, and maintaining records, logs, and forms. The role also involves complying with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, keeping the work area organized, and monitoring freight to ensure cold chain and species compliance.
