About The Position

The Packing Operator supports production operations by setting up workstations with necessary products and packaging materials. This role involves rotating through various tasks such as operating bagger and debagger stations, setting up and operating label machines while monitoring barcoding systems, and overseeing tray packaging machines. Key responsibilities include safely and efficiently completing changeovers, visually monitoring conveyor lines for damaged bottles, and performing quality inspections to ensure compliance with specifications. The operator must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices, ensure compliance with food safety and quality system requirements, and maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe workspace. Communication with management and associates is crucial for reporting issues and identifying opportunities for process enhancement.   • Rotates through tasks (for example, operating bagger and debagger stations, setting up and operating label machines while monitoring barcoding systems, overseeing tray packaging machines).
  • Completes changeovers safely and efficiently.
  • Visually monitors conveyor lines for damaged bottles.
  • Oversees tray pack machines and completes changeovers safely and efficiently.
  • Performs quality inspections and verifies sample compliance with specifications.
  • Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Ensures compliance with food safety and quality system requirements.
  • Maintains a clean, sanitary, and safe workspace according to company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains communication with departments, management, and associates, and promptly reports any issues or concerns that could hinder production efficiency.
  • Immediately reports any food safety or quality issues to management.
  • Applies a continuous improvement mindset to identify opportunities for process enhancement.
  • Records production and/or quality data.
