This Material Handler position at Walmart involves completing work assignments and managing freight flow within a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
- Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners
- Identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations, carrying out tasks, communicating progress and information, determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities, and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback
- Manages freight flow by moving and loading freight manually and with powered equipment (e.g., single and double pallet jack, lift pacer)
- Identifying, counting, separating, combining, and scanning freight utilizing warehouse management system, terminal scales, and scanners
- Maintaining records, logs, and forms
- Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes and practices
- Keeping work area organized
- Monitoring freight to ensure cold chain and species compliance
- Stacking empty pallets and moving empty pallets using a pallet jack and/or powered equipment
