About The Position

Alexandria Industries is hiring a Material Handler to keep products moving safely inside and outside the plant. The role involves receiving, packing, and shipping finished material, working independently and as part of a team. Safety and quality are priorities, and employees are encouraged to suggest improvements. The position is in Indianapolis, Indiana, and is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Pay is $19.00 to $28.60 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to safely operate a forklift and semi-tractor.
Basic blueprint-reading skills and intermediate math skills.
Computer skills, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds; use team lifts or a crane for heavier items.
Comfort working indoors and outdoors, including in hot and cold conditions.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of manufacturing experience.
Two or more years of material handling, shipping, and receiving experience.

Responsibilities

Safely operate forklifts, cranes, and yard trucks.
Receive and inspect incoming material, stock it, and process transfers in the system.
Pack, wrap, band, and label finished products for shipment.
Load carriers and complete shipping paperwork.
Count inventory and resolve discrepancies.
