About The Position

The Material Handler receives, stores, and distributes raw materials and supplies to designated staging areas. The role operates in a production environment and requires compliance with company and plant safety standards and applicable laws and regulations. The employee must keep assigned work areas clean and orderly and properly dispose of scrap material. Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the job, with reasonable accommodations where applicable.
Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and applicable laws and regulations.
Operate a forklift to unload inbound and outbound shipments.
Visually inspect materials and report quality discrepancies.
Prepare materials for the grinding process.
Transport and store materials, finished products, and supplies in appropriate staging areas, and report locations for proper labeling.
Transport scrapped materials from the production line to the grinder area.
Maintain cleanliness of the ramp, dock, and compactor area.
Keep the assigned work area clean and orderly and dispose of scrap material properly.
Perform work in a manner that ensures the safety of oneself and other plant personnel.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
