About The Position

PPG is hiring a Material Handler in Valencia, California. The role supports warehouse operations by receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products, helping ensure that quality products are available to customers when needed. The position involves moving and organizing materials, operating powered forklifts, and weighing chemicals for production. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, either 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Starting pay is $24.98.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse.
• Load and unload products to and from delivery vehicles and designated storage areas.
• Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Move materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence, such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Operate gas- or electric-powered forklifts to move, stack, load, or unload materials, parts, and finished goods.
• Load and unload trucks and potentially use a Hi-Rise to load items into storage racks.
• Weigh chemicals for production according to the schedule.
