About The Position

Amcor is seeking a Material Handler for the D shift (6:50 PM - 7:00 AM). This role involves actively participating in team activities, demonstrating problem-solving skills for continuous improvement, and adhering to all Amcor policies, safety, and health objectives. The Material Handler is responsible for maintaining quality standards, meeting daily production goals, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. This position also requires proper radio etiquette and performing other assigned duties.

  • Meet and maintain all customer quality standards as well as the standards of Amcor.
  • Meet daily production goals and departmental objectives as directed.
  • Clean all assigned work areas after completion of the required work, return all tools to proper storage area at the end of the shift and report any malfunctioning equipment.
  • Apply Good Manufacturing Practices to meet plant goals.
  • Report daily on Master Cleaning Schedule.
  • Direct all non-conforming parts to the appropriate reprocess area.
  • Maintain standard production objectives through proper machine operation and accurately record production.
  • Communicate production information at shift change.
  • Maintain proper radio etiquette when using company radios, PA system and/or phone, business use only.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily operational check of forklift.
  • Conduct quality inspections on palletized product (missing bottles, shrink wrap, label placement, banding tension).
  • Transport finished goods to warehouse/storage location.
  • Transport hold outs to and from production.
  • Print tickets for palletizer.
  • Dump recycling bins.
  • Transport resin to line.
  • Perform pallet reconciliation.
  • Disposition of scrap product.
  • Bail Cardboard.
  • Operate palletizer.
  • Ensure established resin, regrind, PCR, and additive consumption standards are adhered to within the assigned area (nights only).
