About The Position

O'Neal Steel is hiring a Material Handler for its Shelbyville, Indiana facility. This role loads and unloads material within a warehouse and moves materials to and from trucks or trains and within the storage facility using hand trucks, forklifts, overhead cranes, conveyors, and other handling equipment. The position follows commonly used practices and procedures, relying on instructions and established guidelines to perform its functions; primary duties typically do not require independent judgment. The schedule is 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday. Overtime is required as needed. Candidates must pass a criminal background check and drug test after receiving an employment offer. The role is responsible for providing high-quality work to internal and external customers.

Requirements

Ability to operate a variety of material handling equipment, including forklifts, overhead cranes, stacker cranes, side loaders, and yard dogs.
Ability to use hand tools, including grinders, banders, drills, hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, and wrenches.
Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
Must pass a criminal background check and drug test upon offer of employment.

Responsibilities
