About The Position

O'Neal Steel is hiring a Material Handler-Parts Cleaner at its Knoxville, Tennessee facility. The role loads and unloads material within a warehouse and moves it to and from trucks or trains and around the storage facility using material-handling equipment. The position follows commonly used practices, procedures, instructions, and pre-established guidelines; its primary functions generally do not require independent judgment. The employee is responsible for providing high-quality work to internal and external customers. The schedule is first shift, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with overtime required as needed. Candidates must pass a criminal background check and drug test upon offer of employment.

Requirements

Ability to operate a variety of material-handling equipment, including forklifts, overhead cranes, stacker cranes, side loaders, and yard dogs.
Ability to use a variety of hand tools, including grinders, banders, drills, hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, and wrenches.
Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
Must be able to work first shift, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Must be able to work overtime as needed.
Must pass a criminal background check and drug test upon offer of employment.
