Material Handler - Storeroom/Materials Management
About The Position
The Material Handler is an essential part of hospital operations, supporting Dietary Aides by accounting for stock and delivering supplies according to minimum and maximum levels for unit carts and floor supplies. The role receives, inspects, unpacks, labels, stores, and issues medical supplies, instruments, and other materials; maintains inventory records; and prepares goods for shipping. This is an onsite position at Cayuga Medical Center. The work may involve some evenings and weekends, and physical demands include prolonged standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, pushing, pulling, and reaching. The work environment may include extreme heat or cold, loud noises, wet and slippery conditions, and exposure to sharp objects.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- One year of experience in materials handling.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in food or consumables logistics is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
