About The Position

The Material Handler supports internal and external customers by accurately receiving, stocking, delivering, and shipping materials. The role operates material support equipment and performs material support functions—including receiving and running production lines—at the assigned Operations facility. It also requires maintaining safe, clean work areas and following applicable safety procedures and 6S standards.

Requirements

• One year of applicable position experience or an evaluated equivalent.
• Read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, business manuals, technical procedures, and government regulations.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to become forklift certified to operate a forklift or tugger.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing environments and processes.
• Strong transaction discipline, including accuracy with quantities and making effective changes in JDE (Dodge Center only).
• Experience rectifying inventory discrepancies, monitoring KANBAN cards, and using ERP systems and JDE (Dodge Center only).
• Effectiveness working cross-functionally with internal customers.
• Two or more years of applicable position experience.

Responsibilities

• Locate and pull materials and supplies listed on production or sales orders, and stock assigned production areas to maintain inventory levels.
• Verify parts and quantities accurately and complete bills of lading to receive or ship material.
• Operate material handling equipment at the assigned Operations facility.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with safety procedures, rules, and 6S standards.
• Follow safe procedures when operating material support equipment and when assembling and testing models within the job function.
• Conduct receiving operations.
